Make Basic Income a BIG Election Issue!
Ontario’s June 2, 2022 Election is a key moment for activists and organizations across Canada to push a Basic Income Guarantee to the top of the political agenda. Please mobilize:
- Take a lawn sign for yourself and others – lawn signs show political candidates that this is an issue their party needs to pay attention to.
- March in Basic Income Now Rallies in Ottawa and beyond in the spring.
- Volunteer to help organize our local Basic Income Now campaign by contacting Joe Foster at bijoef@gmail.com
- Sign the Basic Income Now Petition along with tens of thousands of others.
- Write a Letter to the Editor or Opinion piece for media: Let them know that Basic Income is a priority for voters.
- When the time comes, Push Candidates to Pledge their support for Basic Income during the election campaign by calling, going to their campaign office, and sending them an email.
Basic Income is Urgent, Effective and Affordable. It’s the foundation of a sustainable economy and healthier society for everyone.
Together we can make it a ballot question during the Ontario Election!
